Students graduate with a bachelors degree in healthcare adminstration and are prepared to manage hospitals, nursing homes, private healthcare practices, assisted living centers, surgicenters and urgent care centers, or work in the public health area. Many other students use the degree and the business education to become practice owners or department heads after completing graduate study in the health sciences such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech/language pathology, nursing, or physician assistant.
Throughout the four year program, the classroom experience is coupled with opportunities to work as a student healthcare consultant, an administrative intern, or as a paid assistant in a healthcare facility.
